Talent Show

One event on the agenda this Fall is to host a Talent Show.  Some time ago, the Christian Development Committee hosted these types of fundraisers; members of Trinity Fellowship Group used to perform at various functions; and then there was teh Trinity Players who performed full length comedies!  We KNOW that Trinity has talent!!

Please consider being a part of our show in early November!  Call Carolyn (436-3155 ext 222) to register your monologue, short play, skit, or musical number.  This is an all-ages event!

After last year’s successful Trinity Fair, plans are under way for this year. The date is October 2nd. Would you like to become involved--whether in organizing, working at the shops, or in the manufacturing of items to be sold, we need your help!   Check with Carolyn to get your name on the list -- call Arthur for any further information.  Shops include baking, preserves, café, books, garage sale, children’s area, country crafts, crafts, meat pies, silent auction.  We are looking for someone to coordinate the garage sale.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP!

USHERING:  The Worship Committee will be distributing the new “Usher” list in the near future.  Volunteers have filled most of the spots for the next year; however, we are still in need of the following:  2 people for January, 2 people for April, 1 person for May, 2 people for June, 1 person for August, 1 person for October, 4 people for November and 5 people for the two Christmas Eve services.  Thanks to Ross Campbell for organizing this list.  Contact:  Please call Ross at 436-0920 if you can help!

COUNTING OFFERING:  As well, each Sunday after church, a team meets to count the offering and prepare the bank deposit.  The money is then taken to the bank night deposit.  This is another other where we could use help from the congregation.  Please give Carolyn, Arthur or Andrew a call if you can offer your time for one month of the year.  Contact:  436-3155.

SCRIPTURE READERS:  We are compiling a new list of scripture readers to begin reading in September.  If you would like to read scripture at one of our weekly worship services, please contact Carolyn McKillop at 436-3155 ext. 222.  We would like to thank Daphne Hodge for making contact and organizing our list of readers.

MID-WEEK GROUP LEADERS:  Carolyn needs two leaders for the Messenger Group (boys and girls, ages 5-8).  The group meets for 1 hour on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  The format for the evening is a Bible story, small craft, a game and sometimes a snack!  Give a call before the summer and let Carolyn know if you are interested!

Men’s Breakfast Club

This group begins its third season of fellowship!  The laughter, the jokes, the sharing…all contribute to a great start to the day!  The group is for men who would like to gather for fellowship and share a hot breakfast.  Meet weekly at Gentlemen Jim’s at 7:15 a.m.!
