Rev Dr. Arthur E. Davies

Born and raised in England.  He came to Canada, worked on a horse farm for a while where he met a young lady named Christine.  He married this young lady and together they raised three children.  

The eldest is Melissa, she resides in England with her husband and two daughters.  Next is Caitlin.  Caitlin resides in Summerside with her husband, daughter and son.  The youngest is Alex, and he is currently back at home.

Rev. Davies and his wife raised their children on a farm near Stirling, where they were dairy farmers.  Arthur graduated from Queen's University (Kingston) with a B.A. then went on and received his M. Div from Queen's Theological College.  He was settled on the Plattsville Washington Pastoral Charge, and later moved to St. James in Waterdown for an interim appointment at Calvary, St. Jacob's.  Along the way he
graduated with a Doctor of Ministry from the University of Toronto.

His hobbies are music, woodworking, and worship.  He is excited at the prospect of bringing God's word to people of all ages, and working at putting life and energy into the church!

Rev Dr. Andrew Richardson

Andrew hails from Halifax, but is now in team ministry at Trinity United Church in beautiful Summerside, PEI. 

A graduate of the Atlantic School of Theology, he was ordained in 1988 and has served congregations in Plaster Rock, Fredericton, Moncton, and now Summerside.

He received his doctorate from Columbia Theological Seminary in 2007. His thesis was a study of the ethical implications of friendship.

In recent years, Andrew has become interested in the theology of generosity and has given talks and workshops across the country. He has been actively involved in the wider community; as a basketball coach; religion columnist for the Moncton Times Transcript; and served as the Chair of the largest school district in New Brunswick. He has taught UPEI Seniors College and at Atlantic School of Theology. 

Currently, he is the chair of the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Committee for the City of Summerside. He enjoys sailing, hockey and music.

Andrew is married to Janet Surette, who works with autistic children in the school system. Janet and Andrew have three children, Alexander, Olivia and Noah.

Director of Christian Education, Carolyn McKillop 

 

Carolyn resides in Summerside and has been with Trinity United Church as Director of Christian Development for the past 17 years. 

She has studied at the Atlantic School of Theology via distance education and over the years, has taken courses on drama, music, Early Childhood, and the “Healing Pathway” program.  The McKillop family is involved with many community, school and church events, and all hold a strong connection to volunteerism.  Carolyn finds her work challenging and marvels at the number of people in the congregation who volunteer and help in many areas of church life.

Director of Music, Christine Anderson Gallant

Christine joined the staff of Trinity United in January 2002. She holds a Bachelor of Music from UPEI and plays piano, Celtic harp, flute, and organ. In addition to her work at Trinity, she operates a private teaching studio, and is the conductor of the Summerside Community Choir.
